Modern Architectural Panel Processing – URBAN POLSKA Introduces the RANGER CNC Machining Centre and ALU BENDER

New technologies for processing composite panels, aluminium and other materials used in modern façades are joining the URBAN POLSKA portfolio. The company has entered into a partnership with Muratori Machines, a manufacturer of specialised CNC machines with vertical worktables and fully automated panel handling systems. The company also offers a machine for processing the edges of architectural panels. The solutions now available on the Polish market will include RANGER CNC and ALU BENDER.

A new direction in URBAN POLSKA’s offering
For 25 years, URBAN POLSKA has been operating on the Polish market as a supplier of machinery and technology for window and door manufacturers and companies specialising in aluminium processing. The next stage in the development of its offering is a partnership with Muratori Machines, a company specialising in solutions for architectural panel processing.

As a result, URBAN POLSKA is introducing two solutions to the Polish market: RANGER – a CNC machining centre with a vertical worktable and an automatic panel loading and offloading system. The second machine is ALU BENDER – an automatic machine for milling and bending panel edges, designed for advanced processing of components used in the aluminium window and door industry.

In this way, the company continues to develop its portfolio, expanding its offering with further advanced solutions for the aluminium window and door sector.
These solutions are primarily intended for companies involved in window and door production and in the processing of panels used in ventilated façades, architecture, transport, advertising, interior design and other applications requiring precise processing of sheet and panel materials.

Muratori Machines – technology focused on panel processing
Based in the Republic of San Marino, Muratori Machines focuses its activities on designing and manufacturing technologies for panel handling and processing. The company’s portfolio includes solutions for processing aluminium, ACM/ACP and HPL panels, polyethylene sheets, aluminium honeycomb panels, fibre cement boards and plastics.
One of the distinguishing features of Muratori Machines technology is the use of a vertical worktable in its RANGER CNC machining centres. This solution reduces the floor space required for the machine while also making it easier for the operator to monitor the machining process and facilitating chip removal.

According to the manufacturer, the vertical configuration of RANGER can reduce the required floor space by up to 60% compared with a horizontal machining centre with the same working area.
This is particularly important in production facilities where floor space is limited, while at the same time there is a need to expand technological capabilities.

RANGER CNC – CNC panel router with vertical worktable
RANGER CNC is a CNC machining centre with a vertical worktable designed for cutting, milling and drilling panels. The machine has been developed to process a wide range of materials, including ACM/ACP composite panels, solid aluminium, HPL, fibre cement and plastics.
It is used, among other applications, in window and door production, façades, architecture, transport, advertising and interior design.
The vertical worktable is one of the key elements of the machine concept. It reduces the required floor space while ensuring good visibility of the workpiece during processing.

RANGER can also be equipped with automation systems for panel loading and offloading. The manufacturer offers solutions including Loader, Double Loader and Off Loader, which can be integrated with the CNC machining centre to create an automated production cell.

RANGER CNC – key benefits:

  • vertical worktable;
  • reduced production floor-space requirements;
  • processing of different types of panels;
  • cutting, milling and drilling;
  • good visibility of the machining process;
  • possibility of automating loading and offloading;
  • suitability for multiple industries;
  • solution designed for high productivity.

ALU BENDER – automatic edge processing
The second machine being introduced by URBAN POLSKA is ALU BENDER – an automatic, multifunctional machine designed for milling and bending straight panel edges.
In the case of composite panels, proper edge preparation is important both from an aesthetic perspective and for protecting the panel core from external factors.
ALU BENDER enables edge processing by milling and bending the aluminium skin, allowing the edge to be closed and the panel core to be protected.
The machine can be used, among other applications, for processing ACM/ACP panels, solid aluminium, aluminium honeycomb panels, HPL, fibre cement and selected panels with mineral and polyethylene cores.
Depending on the material and configuration, ALU BENDER can perform operations such as milling, chamfering, edge processing and bending.
For ACM/ACP panels, the edge can also be bent within a range of 0° to 90°, with an additional bend possible in specific configurations.

ALU BENDER – where can it be used?
ALU BENDER is a solution designed for precision panel processing and can be used in many production applications.

The technology can be used, among other things, in the production of:

  • ventilated façades;
  • architectural components;
  • transport fittings and components;
  • interior design elements;
  • furniture and commercial fit-outs;
  • advertising and signage components;
  • composite-panel structures.

By automating the edge-processing process, ALU BENDER can also relieve CNC machining centres of some finishing operations that, in a traditional production process, are carried out manually or require an additional workstation.

Two machines, one direction – greater production efficiency
Combining RANGER CNC and ALU BENDER makes it possible to look at panel processing not only from the perspective of an individual machine, but from that of the entire production process.

RANGER CNC performs cutting, milling and drilling, while ALU BENDER enables automatic edge processing and bending.
Within a properly designed production process, the two technologies can therefore complement one another.
This approach is particularly interesting for manufacturers of façades and architectural components that want to bring a greater share of the production process in-house.
This is also confirmed by Muratori Machines installations in other markets. Many companies use RANGER CNC together with ALU BENDER, creating a solution that allows successive stages of panel production to be carried out within their own facilities.

What does this partnership mean for URBAN POLSKA customers?
For URBAN POLSKA, the partnership with Muratori Machines primarily means expanding its expertise into technologies for processing architectural and composite panels.

“We want the introduction of Muratori Machines equipment to the Polish market to be more than simply an expansion of our product catalogue. RANGER CNC and ALU BENDER respond to specific manufacturers’ needs – above all in terms of automation, reduced production floor-space requirements, increased repeatability and the ability to carry out more operations in-house,” says Janusz Bubień, President of URBAN POLSKA.

The partnership also gives customers access to URBAN POLSKA’s experience in consultancy, technology selection and after-sales support.
URBAN POLSKA has a well-developed service infrastructure and has been providing after-sales service for machinery and equipment used in the industry for many years.

Muratori Machines technology now available in Poland
The addition of RANGER CNC and ALU BENDER to the URBAN POLSKA portfolio gives Polish manufacturers access to technology that combines CNC machining, automation and efficient use of production space.
For companies manufacturing façades, architectural elements and components made from composite panels, these solutions may represent an interesting alternative to conventional horizontal machining centres and manual edge-processing methods.

URBAN POLSKA is therefore entering a new stage in the development of its offering, focusing not only on the machine itself, but above all on the entire production process and the opportunities for automating it.
